Call for Papers Keynote speaker Professor J. Anothony Cookson Professor of Finance and the Michael A. Klump Endowed Professor Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado Boulder We cordially invite you to submit your research papers for presentation at the 10th annual Vietnam International Conference in Finance (VICIF 2026), to be held at the Meliá Hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam, on July 9–10, 2026. The VICIF-2026 conference is jointly organized by the Vietnam Finance Association International (VFAI), Foreign Trade University, University of Economics – the University of Danang, International University – Vietnam National University HCMC, College of Business & Management – VinUniversity, Banking Academy of Vietnam, and Academy of Finance. The conference will be held in person, offering a valuable opportunity for academics, doctoral students, and practitioners to share their latest research findings, engage in discussions on current issues, and explore emerging trends in finance and related fields. The conference will foster an open and collaborative environment, encouraging networking, collaboration, and the exchange of innovative ideas. We welcome submissions from scholars worldwide in all areas of finance, including, but not limited to:

Publication opportunities: The conference organizers, in consultation with the Editor of the Pacific-Basin Finance Journal (PBFJ), will invite the authors of high-quality papers presented at the conference to submit their manuscripts for review with PBFJ.

Keynote speaker: Professor J. Anothony Cookson, Professor of Finance and the Michael A. Klump Endowed Professor at the Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado Boulder. Professor Cookson's research covers a wide range of topics in finance and economics. His research makes use of unique data sets and empirical settings to study how households and corporations make financial decisions. Through his research, Professor Cookson has become an expert on how investors use social media, the casino industry, the political economy of Native American reservations, and the consequences of the fracking revolution for households. His research has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Law and Economics, and Management Science. Professor Cookson is an editor at the Review of Corporate Finance Studies, as well as an associate editor at the Journal of Financial Economics and Management Science. Since 2022, he has been a director of the Financial Research Association, which organizes a prominent academic finance research conference in Las Vegas annually.
